Just off the John Muir Trail. No giant pancake this time, but at least part of the Mt. Whitney tradition survived. 221 miles from Yosemite (Happy Isles) to Whitney Portal in 11 trail days plus a zero day at the amazing Palisade Lakes. I came away with a bunch of new friends and a renewed appreciation for the gem that is the Sierra Nevadas. Already can’t wait to go back. A big thanks to my good friend “Shoeless” Taylor Foss for braving the notorious Taboose Pass to provide some great company and a much needed resupply.
